This project involved tearing down an existing building and the commercial development of a Family Dollar/Dollar Tree retail store.
The existing building, an auto mechanic shop, was full of asbestos and lead, and the soil contained arsenic, so special care had to be taken when razing the building. The building’s remote location—in a small town with 1,000 people and only one gas station—added to the uniqueness and logistics of the project. Fortunately, we were able to work side-by-side with the developer to solve these challenges.
