Our Beginnings
Maddox Construction, L.C. Is a multi-million dollar, FAMILY OPERATED BUSINESS working in Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho. We are a company with 30 employees and excellent Sub Contractors whom we’ve been doing business with for multiple years. Our Services include Commercial and Residential General Contracting of new and existing buildings, Design Builds, Construction Management, Asset Management, Structural Concrete and Vaults. Maddox Construction, L.C. and our team take pride in providing top quality construction services at a fair price.
Our clients who we do work for consistently include: Gardner Company, KFC, Einstein Bagels, Chip Cookies, Robeks, Boyer Company, City of South Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Arbor Homes, Coldwell Banker as well as many Commercial and Homeowner clients.

Kaden has big plans for Maddox Construction. He is focused on growing the business and his team to become the first name in commercial and residential construction in Utah and across the western United States.
We have a commercial place built out with Maddox. Their group has been nothing but professional since day 1 when they came out for a bid. The building process is on schedule and very easy to work with the superintendent onsite to coordinate progress and questions. As the Vice President of Operations, Kaden is focused on growing the business and his team while maintaining the commitment to honesty, integrity, safety, and quality for which Maddox is known.

Andrew Harmon
Project Manager/Superintendent
Andrew Harmon joined Maddox in 2023. After spending a good portion of his career in sales—ranging from door-to-door and inside sales to technology sales and logistics. While his professional experience was mainly in sales, he has a background in construction, having worked in and around construction sites for his dad’s drywall business throughout his youth.
The West Jordan native says that “doing all kinds of labor to earn money” as a kid taught him the value of hard work. “I believe that instilled a very solid work ethic in me,” he explained. “It taught me accountability and that working hard will always give me an avenue to provide for my family.”
As Project Manager/Superintendent at Maddox, Andrew manages subcontractors, orders construction materials, and develops weekly schedules to ensure that everything runs smoothly at his job sites. He also serves as the main point of communication for property owners, keeping them updated on their projects and listening to their feedback.
Andrew is a family man through and through, a devoted husband and father. “I am married to the love of my life and have the privilege of being a father to our two wonderful girls,” he said. While spending time with his family is his top priority, he always finds a way to fit in a workout and likes to play football, basketball, or lacrosse with the guys in his free time. He has also coached lacrosse for Herriman High School for the last five years and says he enjoys being able to help others. “If I’m able to help one kid or make a difference to one kid, then any sacrifices made are all worth it to me.”
Andrew is grateful to be a part of the Maddox team—a team that always operates with integrity—and he looks forward to building the future with Maddox.

James Fairchild
Superintendent
James joined Maddox in early 2024, bringing with him more than a decade of valuable experience. In addition to working as a Laborer and later a Superintendent at a demolition company, the California native honed his management skills in a 10-year career at In-N-Out Burger followed by a brief stint at Harmons Grocery.
James explained that in addition to learning the importance of quality and communication and how to manage people and situations, he learned a lot about construction during his decade in the fast food industry. “My history in fast food really prepared me for my job as Superintendent at Maddox,” James explained. “When I was with In-N-Out Burger, I learned a lot about fast food chains and saw what worked and what didn’t so I have a deeper understanding of the clients we build for at Maddox.”
As Superintendent at Maddox, James is responsible for managing the subcontractors, ordering construction materials, and weekly scheduling to ensure that the right people are in place, materials are on hand and that all safety protocols are followed. He also serves a liaison between the Project Managers and Owners to ensure an open line of communication between all parties.

Joyce Larsen
Executive Assistant
Born and raised in Sandy, Utah, Joyce spent 15 years of her adult life in Southeast Idaho before returning to her childhood home. She joined Maddox in 2023 after a long career in the dental business where she was a dental assistant for 20 years and then moved into an office manager position and honed her accounting and people skills over 16 years.
“When John offered me the job at Maddox, I was happy to make the change from my career in the dental field,” Joyce explained. “I love being in construction and seeing the photos of the projects progressing; it’s very gratifying to know that I played some small part in that progress.”
In her role as Executive Assistant, Joyce handles all office correspondence (email and phone), accounts payable, and human resources tasks. She tracks, verifies, and pays all subcontractor and supplier invoices and is responsible for all the company’s bookkeeping. She is also responsible for onboarding new hires, including setting up benefits, managing payroll, and other associated duties. Finally, she manages the team’s travel and expenses, time off requests, and plans company events.
Joyce says that her favorite part of the job is the teamwork at Maddox, “From the construction crews and the management team to the subcontractors and suppliers, everyone has the same end goal!”
