The project presented unique subsurface and utility coordination challenges that required our immediate and decisive action. Upon excavation, unforeseen unsuitable existing soil necessitated a significant intervention. Our team seamlessly coordinated with the Geotechnical engineer, rapidly developing and executing a revised plan that involved over-excavating an additional nine feet of material and importing structural fill for the building's foundation. This complex earthwork was managed without any extension to the aggressive 3.5-month schedule.
Furthermore, a critical issue arose with the city-approved storm tech system, which was found to conflict with existing utility infrastructure. Through meticulous coordination with Enbridge Gas and Lehi Power, Maddox Construction swiftly implemented the correct storm tech system while ensuring all necessary clearances were strictly maintained. Our proactive problem-solving and diligent coordination ensured the project's integrity and on-schedule delivery, solidifying our commitment to excellence in complex retail developments.
